20 Piece is the
second single from Grimace's arsenal as he leads up to
the release of his sophomore album "Strength". Full project is slated
for distribution in the late summer of 2014.
This remix is produced by Monolith's own Lancecape, and the visuals
were shot, directed/edited by Big Sproxx of the Freedom Writers. Each
artist involved is well known for their crafts and contributions to the
home grown Hip Hop crop in Toronto. Together they have created a new
strain, that keeps his listeners high and jonsing for more.
Thoughtsarizen
x LDonthecut - Way to Survive Ft Madchild
Thoughtsarizen
teams up with producer LDonthecut to bring you "Way to Survive". The
track off the upcoming album "DUCT TAPE" (out March 5th, 2015) features
Madchild of Swollen Members and, like the rest of the album, was
produced by LDonthecut, who also contributed cuts on this joint.
"Way to Survive" is a classic Hip Hop song with a modern vibe to it,
carried by a boom bapish beat and sampling Talib Kweli on the hook:
"The way we find a way to survive, shit is a miracle."
Until the album release in
March of 2015, Thoughtsarizen and LDonthecut will be releasing a new
song off the upcoming album every month.
Figub
Brazlevič has made a name as currently being one of Germany's most
outstanding producers. Residing in Germany's capital and Hip Hop mecca
Berlin, Figub has completed "Ersatzverkehr", a collection of remixes,
putting his own touches on tracks by both European and US artists. On
19 songs he worked with 24 MCs and 8 DJs and contributed 31 beats. With
"Kung Foo" he remixed a prominent track by young MC Dillon Cooper from
Brooklyn, NY, whose name should already ring bells with Hip Hop heads
worldwide. Figub chose this song for Dillons energetic flow and complex
rhyme pattern and along with Figubs signature boom bap style, the song
came out a head-nod banger.
Vegas & McLovin - Testers EP
Hip
Hop culture is eating itself. Its moving into a direction where art and
craftsmanship is taking a backseat to excess and instant gratification.
To the "initiated" this sounds quite familiar... Amidst the
chaos Vegas & McLovin have decided to find a little crevice or
corner to post up on and throw out some free work for anyone willing to
listen. If you like to nod your head, have a laugh every once in a
while, or just be stimulated by interesting convo, try this, you might
like it.
THE
SPIX are two Puertorican MC's from Brooklyn: ZEPS & Eturnal
Suarez... specializing in hardcore rhymes over dusty grimy beats from
all over the world. No techno, no clubs songs, no singing, just
raw shit. BOOM BAP ACROSS THE MAP! Check out their new album "Episode 2
- Carajo Land" and grab your free download via their Bandcamp page. The video "Manhattan Special" off the album was recently released and can be watched below.
