MindsOne
reunites with legendary Low Budget Crew producer Kev Brown to offer
hip-hop connoisseurs another round of boom bap driven instrumentals and
lyrical inspiration in the form of "Pillars". Following the success of
their critically acclaimed album "Self Reliance", the MC duo of KON Sci
and Tronic began conceptualizing an exclusive new EP with the
bass-minded beat maker's talents in mind. Concise and thoughtful,
"Pillars" explores notions of loyalty and mortality, laments the
stagnation of modern day musical creativity, all while celebrating the
limitless possibilities of the culture. A tall order for a compact
record, but the combination of Kev Brown's instrumental virtuosity and
MindsOne's authority over the spoken word aims to achieve just that.
The EP features a guest appearance from the ingenious Homeboy Sandman
along with instrumentals from up and coming producer Sam Brown, and a
brand new remix of "Legion of Doom" by MindsOne stalwart KON Sci.

After releasing his highly acclaimed debut album "The Résumé" in 2010
with high caliber features like Slum Village, Royce Da 5'9, Mic
Geronimo and Oddisee, Danish vinyl enthusiast and producer KVBeats
returns with the blazing new single "You Know The Rules", taken off his
EP "The Breadwinner" (featuring Torae, Pacewon, Chaundon, Little Vic,
a.o.) .
"You Know the Rules" is a laid back, piano driven boom-bap banger with
none other than Rashad spitting fire on the mic. You might remember the
Brooklyn MC as one half of the duo Rashad & Confidence, best
known for their already classic album "The Element of Surprise". DJ Rob
Swift formerly of the legendary X-Men / X-Ecutioners DJ crew adds some
extra flavor to the track by cutting up some classic vocal samples.

Ill Adrenaline Records and Da Beatminerz team up again to put out two
dope unreleased remixes coming straight out the vaults from Mr. Walt
and Evil Dee.
While the original version of "...Sumthin" (feat. Tash & Rah
Digga) got a more funky vibe, the remix of this east coast/west coast
collaboration banger is on the rough and rugged tip. Produced by Mr.
Walt and featuring Tash of Tha Alkaholiks and Brick City's Rah Digga,
this remix was recorded back in the same year as the original version
(1998) and shelved until now.
The b-side remix of Black Star's (Mos Def & Talib Kweli)
"Another World" is another amazing and unreleased remix of this classic
tune.

Molecules (of The Legion) & Showbiz (of D.I.T.C.) "Revenge"
Rare
track by Molecules of The Legion with production handled by Showbiz of
the almighty Diggin' In The Crates collective. "Revenge" was recorded
back in spring 1995 and only made it to a sought after Japanese only
D.I.T.C. CD album and a poorly pressed bootleg vinyl. "Revenge" is
taken off The Legion "Lost Tapes" EP, dropping November on Ill
Adrenaline Records. The EP features production from Buckwild, The
Legion, Showbiz, and Confidence and will be available on CD/LP and
digitally.
